Game Review: Bonus Deuces Wild Video Poker
Bonus Deuces Wild is a bonus game and a wild-card game all in one. Try your hand at Bonus Deuces Wild video poker.
Wild Cards Rule in Bonus Deuce Wild
All video poker games are essentially a game of 5-card draw poker. If you have no patience for newer poker variants (like Texas Hold'em or any other relatively recent version of poker), video poker is just for you. Video poker has been compared to slot machines but video poker is way more fun because it requires at least a modicum of skill and involvement on the part of the player - that's you.
Bonus Deuces Wild video poker is a great game with a twist. First of all, deuces are wild cards in this game - they stand in for any card to form even the most advantageous poker hand. That's the "deuces wild" part. The "bonus" part is the payout - a royal flush pays off a whopping 5,000 coins (with the maximum bet) and four 2s pay 1,000 coins. That's quite a bonus. Regular Deuces Wild video poker is fun, but the added bonus makes Bonus Deuces Wild even more challenging and exciting. Why play regular Deuces Wild when you can play Bonus Deuces Wild?
When you play the slots there is very little you have to know - the rules, the payout and, in the case of a progressive slot, how much you have to bet to hit the big jackpot. Once you know that, all you have to do is put in the money and hit "spin." The rest is up to the machine. In video poker, however, you have to make decisions (or at least a decision). First, though, you have to have a basic understanding of what comprises a poker hand. If you're holding a flush, it'd be a shame to lose it just because you don't know that five cards with the same suit is a good hand. If the game is called Bonus Deuces Wild, you have to at least know that a deuce is a 2, because that's the card you're looking for. And so on.
Give Yourself a Big Bonus and Play This Great Video Poker Game
Other than the terrific bonus in the payout schedule, Bonus Deuces Wild is pretty much like regular Deuces Wild video poker. The game is played with a 52-card deck and the player is dealt 5 cards to start off with. It's at that point that you have the afore-mentioned decision to make - how many cards to hold onto and how many to discard. You can keep them all or replace them all - and anything in the middle. It's up to you but it shouldn't be a whimsical decision. Video poker is a game with a strategy and it pays to abide by it. Your decision on whether to hold or discard should be based on the kind of game you're playing, the initial cards you've been dealt and the payouts for particular hands. Bonus Deuces Wild, for instance, pays for a
minimum of 3 of a kind - pairs are not winners - so keep that in mind when you're looking at your cards and trying to decide what stays and what goes.
As for betting, you can be as conservative or aggressive as you want (depending on your bankroll) but you should keep one thing in mind. The highest payout in Bonus Deuces Wild is 5,000 coins (for a natural royal flush) but you are eligible for that payout if you bet the maximum number of coins (5) for whatever coin-value you've chosen to play with. If you're looking for your money to last a while, it's OK to play it safe and bet with a lower coin denomination (as low as 5 cents) but kick in 5 coins - 25 cents - and you'll have a chance to win the top prize.
Bonus Deuces Wild is a great game for beginning video poker players (like me) as well as for veterans. It has something for everyone - wild cards, bonus payouts, big jackpots, low minimum bets and hours of entertainment.
