If you go to War, you place a second bet. If you win, you win an amount equal to your original bet. Believe me, there is nothing finer than winning a few "Wars" over the Internet.

One additional point to keep in mind. Unlike some other games, Aces are always high. If you draw an Ace, you are on track to win. The only thing that might happen is that the Dealer could also get an Ace. In that case, you can still win in a War. An Ace War is really the most exciting kind of War. No one knows how it will end up.
