The Kahnawake Gaming Commission, established in 1996, is an independent third-party interactive gaming license provider composed of three members appointed by the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake, Canada. The Commission accepts applications from gaming businesses and conducts rigorous probity checks through the National Fraud Center (NFC, a member of the LexisNexisTM Group) in the United States, and employs professional experts to review applicants' software and control systems to ensure their fairness, accuracy and reliability.
The Gaming Commission evaluates and certifies the standard of its applicants' gaming equipment, solvency and continuing ability to meet its obligations to players, and can require applicants to provide security measures where the Commission deems it necessary. The Commission also conducts regular ongoing monitoring of its permit holders' operations to ensure that their activities are being conducted fairly and are paying out at a verifiable rate, and works closely with an internationally known accounting firm in conducting its monitoring activity.
